Eleanor McGuinness (née Joyce)

Knoxpark, Ballisodare, Co. Sligo and formerly of Foxford, Co. Mayo – unexpectedly, at UCH Galway on 8th of August 2025.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Richard (Dick), and her cherished brothers Tommie, Walter, Fr. Michael, Anthony, sister in law Marie, niece Maeve and nephew Stephen.

Deeply mourned by her daughter Jennifer Currid (Joe), her sons Brendan (Dymphna), Myles (Martina) and her eight grandchildren Mark, Jean, Alex, Saoirse, Caoimhe, Ella, Roishe, Michael, her sister in law Phil, nieces and nephews and a wide circle of friends and neighbours.

Reposing at her residence (F91TR64) on Monday, 11^th August from 4pm to 8pm and on Tuesday, 12^th August from 2pm to 6pm followed by removal to St. Brigid’s Church, Corhownagh (F91RH70) – arriving at 7pm.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday, 13^th August at 12 noon followed by burial in Scarden cemetery, Strandhill Road, Sligo.
