So many beautiful tributes have been written about Uncle Eddie and we can’t agree more. He was the patriarch of the Connor family. We have to give kudos to Aunt Theresa who was always present to help with preparing a meal and entertaining the crew. We would be remiss not to talk about the first time we visited Uncle Eddie, Grandma Kate and Grandpa John in 1966. Over the 6 weeks we spent in Charlestown, we came away with a life time of memories which my siblings and I still talk about nearly 60 years later. One vivid memory was a Sunday when Uncle Eddie went out to the hen house to get dinner. Witnessing what it was like to see a chicken without its head is as clear today as in 1966. From going to the bog and birthing a calf what we experienced in one summer most people don’t see in a lifetime. In conclusion, Uncle Eddie will be sorely missed but we are happy he is now resting peacefully with Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Sean, Aunt Bernadette, Aunt Kathleen and my mom, Helena. God Bless all.

Eddie was one of a kind. They broke the mould after he was born.
I am sure that I speak for all the Foley second cousins and families when I say that our times in Ballintadder were made extra special by this unique man, who knew how to get the best out of us.
He will be very sadly missed by us all, and will remain in our hearts forever.
May he rest in peace.

In loving memory of my beloved brother Eddie- You were a kind, caring, and loving brother. Growing up together in Ballintadder, I have countless happy memories, but one that always brings a smile to my face is when our mother would send us to Sarah’s with freshly churned butter. Eddie would knock at her door and whisper to me to RUN fast so we wouldn’t be invited in for some stale bread. But, just as we’d try to escape, Sarah would open the door, calling, “Come in, children!” Eddie would chastise me for not running quickly enough.

These small moments hold so much meaning to me, and I treasure them deeply. Over the years, visiting with my family, Eddie was always a bright light in our lives. I know that now he will shine even more brightly in the presence of God and all our loved ones.

God be with you, Eddie. Rest in peace. Anne M. Connor Murphy ( Boston MA)

In loving memory of my dear Uncle Eddie, whose kindness and generosity left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him. I will always cherish the days on his farm – running through the fields, playing with Flush and her pups, and helping him with the cows. He was always so open and welcoming to our large extended family, especially us “Yanks” from across the ocean, making us feel right at home. May he rest in peace, knowing how deeply he was loved.

In loving memory of our beloved Uncle Eddie, whose warmth and kindness made every visit to Ballintadder truly special. Time on the farm with him, amidst the beauty of the Irish countryside, is something we will always cherish. Uncle Eddie had a rare gift for making everyone feel at home; his laughter, wisdom, and generosity left a deep impression on all who were fortunate to know him.
