Edith Fitzgerald (née Carolan)

Cloonagh, Westport, Co. Mayo and late of Bluebell, Dublin and Heidelberg, Germany – peacefully, in the Carra Suite, Sacred Heart Hospital, Castlebar surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her sister Teresa, brother Alan, sisters-in-law Mary, Patricia and Maureen and brother-in-law Daniel.

Edith will be sadly missed by her loving family, husband James, son Daniel and daughter Tara, grandson Joey, future son-in-law Greg Twomey, brothers Shay and Tony, sister Anne, sister-in-law Marie, nieces, nephews, extended family in Ireland and America and many friends who were like family to her.

Reposing at McGing’s Funeral Home, Westport (F28 RX58) on Sunday (September 13^th) from 5:30pm to 6:30pm with removal to St. Mary’s Church, Westport.

THE PUBLIC QUEUE FOR ENTRY INTO THE FUNERAL HOME WILL NOW BE FROM THE SHOP STREET DIRECTION.

Requiem Mass will be held on Monday (September 14^th) at 11:00am with the funeral proceeding to Aughavale cemetery.
