Ringsend, Dublin and formerly of Thallabawn, Killadoon, Louisburgh, Co. Mayo (May 19th, 2026) – peacefully following an illness borne with great courage, surrounded by his loving family and friends, at Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross, Dublin.

Loving son of the late Michael & Bridie (née Davitt).
Sadly missed and remembered with love by his brother Michael (Thallabawn), sisters Maria (Adelaide) & Catherine (Louisburgh), nephew & nieces Conor, Michaela & Megan, sister-in-law Claire, brother-in-law Steve, his special and loyal friends John, Des & Vincent, his large family in the Deaf community, uncles, aunts, cousins, and many friends.

Dominic will repose at Emmaus Chapel, Deaf Village Ireland, Ratoath Rd., Dublin (D07 P973) on Thursday (May 21st) from 2:30pm, concluding with Prayer Service at 3:30pm.
Dominic will rest in repose at Sweeney’s Funeral Home, Louisburgh on Friday (May 22nd) from 6:00pm, concluding with Vigil Prayers at 7:30pm.
Removal from the family home on Saturday to arrive at the Church of the Holy Family Killeen at 11:30am for Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.
Family flowers only, donations in lieu if desired to Our Lady’s Hospice Harold’s Cross, c/o Sweeney Funeral Directors, Louisburgh.
