Pauline and family, my deepest sympathy on Danny’s passing. Danny was for sure a true gentleman and a brilliant basketball coach and mentor. Thank you Danny for your dedication to the great game. We Pacers reached great heights and could go toe to toe with the top teams in the country. Thank you mostly Danny for your professionalism in sport, for the character building that you as a coach instilled in me. I am a ‘team player’ because of you. You taught me respect for the rules and the ‘ref’! ‘Play the ‘ref’ you always told us! I can honestly say that a big part of who I am is due to you Danny and the great game of basketball!
Most of all I want to say a sincere thank you to Pauline and your children for allowing Danny to take us to tournaments all over the country and share his knowledge with young basket ballers like myself.

Deepest sympathy to Pauline and all the family. I knew Danny since the 1970’s when he worked for Guinness, an absolute gentleman
and so helpful to all of us in the Pub trade. Always on call and ready to come to our assistance even at weekends.
Danny was a true Dub and a great trade unionist, and of course a great basketball coach. I am sorry that I am unable to make the funeral, but we will remember Danny in our thoughts and prayers.
