Celia Connolly (née Quine)

Church Hill, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon and formerly of Ardagh, Glinsk, Co. Galway – peacefully, surrounded by her loving family in the excellent care of the staff at the Roscommon Hospice on 1st August 2025.

Beloved wife and best friend of Harry. Celia will be sadly missed by her husband, children, Annmarie (Hickey, Galway), Gerry (Sligo), Deirdre (Cunnane, Malahide) and Harriet (Sandyford), grandchildren Lisa, Lauren, Aoife, Juliette, Ronan and Rowan, great-grandchildren Grace and Tom, daughter-in-law Mary, sons-in-law Paul and Liam, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

May Her Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

Reposing in Gaynor’s Funeral Home, The Square, Castlerea (F45 HH24) on Monday evening from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral arriving at St. Patrick’s Church, Castlerea for Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 11am, after which Celia will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

Celia’s Funeral Mass may be viewed on Gaynor Funeral Director’s Facebook page. No flowers by request. Donations in lieu if desired to the Mayo Roscommon Hospice.
