‘Shanaway’, Carnalurgan, Westport – on the 5th November 2025, peacefully in the wonderful care of the McBride Nursing Home, Westport.

Cathal will be deeply missed by all his loving family.

Beloved husband of Kay and loving father of Willie (Elodie), Jenny, Eoin (Julie), Aisling (John), Cathal (Olive).

He will be forever remembered by his grandchildren Tom, Lily, Lenny, Roisin, Ronan, Eoin, Darragh, Kate, Oran, Conor and Daniel, by his loving sister Mary and brother Seamus and by all his extended family, neighbours and wide circle of friends.

Predeceased by his brothers Stephen, Liam and Owen Walsh.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Cathal will be reposing on Friday evening (7th November) at Navin’s Funeral Home, Westport from 5pm to 6:30pm.

Funeral arriving to St. Mary’s Church, Westport on Saturday (8th November) at 12noon for Mass at 12:30pm followed thereafter by burial in Aughagower Cemetery.
