Bridie Donnellan née Crean

Cloonfower, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon – 2nd September 2026 – peacefully at Sligo University Hospital.

Predeceased by her husband Michael, daughter Katherine, and brother Tom.

Bridie is lovingly remembered by her devoted family, daughters Mary, Martina, Barbara and Claire, sister Mary, grandchildren Edel, Christopher, Michaela, Martha, and Maia, sons-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

May She Rest In Peace.

Reposing at Gaynor’s Funeral Home, Castlerea on Friday evening from 5.30 until 7 o’clock followed by Prayers and reception into St. Brigid’s Church, Cloonbonniffe.

Funeral Mass on Saturday at 12 noon followed by burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to Friends of Sligo University Hospital c/o Gaynor Funeral Directors

Very sorry to see Bridie’s funeral notice. When working at hay, you got well fed, she was a great cook like her mother Mrs Crean. When my mother came to Cloonfower first, she was up in the bog at the turf with Dad. Bridie was bringing the cows over to Ellors on horse back and she came into the field on horse back for a chat. Mother said she was so full of life, chatty, friendly and welcoming to her. Bridie was only about 12 at the time. I am very sorry for your loss.
