I am deeply saddened and heartbroken to learn of Brendan’s passing. I had the privilege of getting to know Brendan over the past three years in the Roscommon University Hospital canteen. He had an incredible personality and presence, and no matter how busy things were, he always made time for a friendly chat.

Brendan faced his health challenges with remarkable dignity and courage, and he was always open and honest when speaking about his condition. He will be greatly missed by the many staff members and customers who pass through those doors each day, but especially by his beloved family, whom he spoke of so often and loved so dearly.

It was truly a pleasure to have known Brendan.

My heartfelt condolences to Brendan’s immediate and extended families, neighbours, friends, and his valued colleagues in Roscommon University Hospital canteen.

Rest in eternal peace Brendan
