It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brendan Hyland, aged 48, of West Malling, Kent, UK, and formerly of Castle Park, Clondalkin, Dublin, Ireland.
Brendan died peacefully on May 8, 2025, in the loving embrace of his family at Tunbridge Wells Hospital, Kent.
Brendan is predeceased by his beloved mother, Teresa.
Deeply mourned and forever remembered by his devoted wife, Lindsay; his father, Jim, and Jim’s wife Breege (Newport, Co. Mayo, Ireland); his mother-in-law, Penny (Fuerteventura); his brother, Kevin, and Kevin’s wife Clelia (Dublin, Ireland); his sisters, Edel and her partner Alan (Belfast, Northern Ireland) and Anne and her husband Lee (Harrogate, UK). Brendan is lovingly remembered by his nieces Annalivia, Elisa, Aoibheann, and Clara, and his nephews Ennio and Felix. He will also be deeply missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins, the extended Hyland, Normoyle and Melville families, and many close friends including his beloved dog Zukie.
A celebration of Brendan’s Life will take place on Monday, June 2, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at the East Chapel, Medway Crematorium, Robin Hood Lane, Blue Bell Hill, Chatham, ME5 9QU, UK. Attendees are warmly encouraged to dress colourfully, honouring the joy and connection Brendan brought to the lives of those around him. Following the service, all are welcome to gather for a wake, 12:30-3pm at West Malling Village Hall, Norman Rd, West Malling ME19 6RW.
