I am so sorry to hear of Mrs Heneghan’s passing. She was an incredible teacher who connected so well with all of us. She left a lasting impression. I have never forgotten her. Sending our deepest condolences.

At a young age, she sparked a love for the Irish language in me that has lasted a lifetime. It was always a pleasure to meet her over the years, she was such a lovely lady.

To Bertie and family. Breege was a gifted teacher, kind and such fun. She stayed in our house in the Curragh, Castlebar when she did her teaching practice as a student teacher. Mammy had great stories to tell about Breege. Brege remained a great friend to our family throughout the years. Its was a pleasure to know her. She brought happiness to many, many students and to everyone she met. A wonderful woman.

How sorry we all were on learning of the death of Breege Heneghan.
Breege was a great and wonderful lady. We attended her Marriage and wedding some years ago. Mrs Heneghan her mother in law loved Breege from the moment they met, as indeed did every mother whose daughters attended the School where Breege taught, Mount St Michael. The beautiful condolences coming inn for Breege say it all.
Breege Heneghan had such passion for the Irish Language, she could transform dry grammar into a living culture. Her knack for making grammar, poetry and sentences click, making the Irish language feel very much alive to all people who could speak the Language. Breege Heneghan lifted so many students to top marks, always encouraging her students to aim for top results. I myself as a mother of three daughter have experienced all of Breege’s teaching with wonderful grades.
My daughters join with me today in sending our sincere and heartfelt sympathy to all of Breege’s family. To her husband Bert, as Breege always called him, on the death of his dear and wonderful wife, to her daughter Aine, to her two sons Niall and Cathal, to their wife’s Lesley and Lisa, to Anne’s partner Michael, and grandchildren, on the death of their much loved mother, wife aunt and grandmother. To Breege’s sisters, brother, nephews, nieces, work colleagues, and to all of the extended Heneghan and Morrin family on the death of Breege.
