Ann Hegarty (née Winters),
Glencalry, Belderrig, Ballina, Co. Mayo and formerly of Muingerean, Moygownagh – peacefully, at the Mayo University Hospital, Castlebar surrounded by her loving family on 23rd January 2025.
Predeceased by her husband Paddy, parents Tom and Nora, brothers Michael, Tony, Sean (Ann’s twin brother), Richie and Pierce and sisters Mary and Evelyn.
Beloved mother of Michael, Eileen, Maureen, Ann, Orlaith and Des. She will be sadly missed by her heartbroken family, sons in law P.J. Harrison, Patrick Douglas, Patrick Cryan, daughters in law Geraldine and Aideen, cherished grandchildren Gavin, Mark, Daniel, Conor, Emma and Niall, sisters Sheila O’Malley (Shrataggle, Porturlin), Una Geraghty (Foxford) and Pauline Scollard (Chicago, U.S.A.), nephews, nieces, kind neighbours and many friends.

Remains reposing at McDonnell’s Funeral Home, Belmullet on Saturday evening from 4 o’clock until 6 o’clock.
Funeral will arrive at St. Teresa’s Church, Belderrig on Sunday evening at 8 o’clock.
Funeral Mass on Monday at 12 noon followed by burial in Belderrig cemetery.
Funeral Mass will be live streamed on McDonnell Funeral Directors Facebook page at 12 noon on Monday with all other funeral services available for viewing at 8 o’clock on Monday evening.
