Ann Gilligan (nee Waldron)

Acres, Kilkerrin, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway and formerly of Ballyroe, Knock, Co. Mayo – passed away on November 17th 2025, after a long illness surrounded by her loving family and the caring staff of Central Park Nursing Home, Clonberne.

Pre-deceased by her husband John, infant granddaughter Hazel, brothers Liam and Luke, sisters Pat and Mary.

Sadly missed by her children John (Carolyn) Balla, Bernie (Joe) Hogan, Belclare, Paraic (Ingrid) (Kilkerrin), Ann Marie (Kevin) Hannon Dunmore, Michelle (Owen) Breslin Clareen Offaly, Nigel (Martina) Australia, Karen Gilligan Liscannor, Clare, Sinead Gilligan Australia. She will be very sadly missed by her 19 much loved grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

May her kind and gentle soul rest in peace.

Reposing at Kilkerrin Community Centre (H53 K7F9) on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 from 5pm with removal to St. Joseph’s Church, Kilkerrin (H53 Y326) at 8pm.

Requiem Mass will be held on Thursday, November 20th at 12 noon with burial afterwards in Kilkerrin Cemetery.

Mass will be live-streamed on Coneran Funeral Facebook page and listened to on local radio 106.6FM
