Very sorry to hear of the passing a true lady and inspiration in life, I have the best memories of Ann when I was in the tennis club, she gave me my first lesson and promoted me to a ladies doubles match that same evening, that was Ann always so positive, may her gentle soul rest in peace, sincere condolences to all the Garavan family.

I offer my sincere sympathy and condolences to all of Ann’s family. Be asured of my special prayer intentions for your consolation at this time of sadness and loss. Looking at Ann’s picture reminds me of the time we met when I was a newly ordained currate back in the late 1980’s in Castlebar. We met each other on our bikes on the Pontoon Road. She was going for the messages and I was visiting the neighbourhood for the stations. That was one of many times we shared the road But try as she might she didn’t manage to get me to join the tennis club
Ann had a wonderful personality and caring character. May she rest in peace and rise in glory. Amen.

So sad to hear of the sad death of an iconic Castlebar person. Met her many years ago when playing tennis in the “ old “ tennis courts. She was also so welcoming and enthusiastic.
