Our Andrew passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in Galway University Hospital early on Sunday morning 30th of August 2026.
He will be forever loved and missed by his heartbroken mother Claire, father Jim, sister Jennifer and Andrew’s adored nephew Jamie Loftus. Andrew will also be much missed by the President and staff of St Jarlath’s College, Tuam, Andrew’s spiritual family; by Tuam Stars GAA Club; by Tuam Golf Club; by the Murphy family of Milltown and the Hynes family, Tuam; his circle of close friends; the many wonderful people who Andrew was involved with in all aspects of Theatre activities; The Mill Museum Tuam committee, and his own growing interest in local heritage and several other voluntary societies and organisations.
Rest in peace our darling Andrew.
Andrew will be returning to his mother Claire’s house on Tuesday, house strictly private please.
Reposing at St. Jarlath’s College Oratory, (H54 EV84) this Wednesday (September 2nd) from 4.00 pm until 8.00 pm followed by removal to his sister Jennifer’s house in Cloonmore.
Funeral Mass in The Cathedral of the Assumption, Tuam, on Thursday at 2.00 pm.
Burial afterwards in Tuam cemetery.
