I am sorry to read of Alice’s death, she was a very nice person and both Alice and her late husband Aidan were a great couple and great neighbors to my Uncle Richard Grimes and his wife Nan Grimes, now sadly deceased, I want to send my condolences to Alice’s children Brian, Column and Aideen, Aidan Senior was a past captain of Enniscrone Golf Club and he could not have been such a great captain without the Input of Alice, they were a great team that worked very well, Aidan was also a past pupil of Summerhill College, Sligo and I played in Summerhill College Past Pupils Golf outings with Aidan and Padhraig Kennedy (Tubbercurry) also a great past Captain of Enniscrone Golf Club. It is true to say that Alice and Aidan’s Input and contribution into Inniscrone Golf Club was immense and this work has and will continue to pay off forever, Aidan and Alice were one of the many Married Couples who put in the very hard work in
developing the business of Enniscrone Golf Club, that work
is paying Dividends today because Enniscrone Golf Club has Prospered enormously and in doing so this business has had a huge business impact on the town of Enniscrone and surrounding area,
Aidan and Alice would always say that the Very Hard work in developing Enniscrone Golf was done back when Enniscrone Golf Club became a Championship Golf Club, The Stalwarts and those families that Enniscrone Golf Club are thankfully still involved in the club today, It is because of Alice’s and Aidan’s input and with all of the other Families from Enniscrone , this is the main reason why Enniscrone Golf Club is recognized as one of the great Golf Courses of Ireland and is definitely rated in the great golf clubs of the world.
