Mayo artist, Charlotte Greham, is pictured with her prize-winning artwork at the opening of an exhibition of winning paintings to celebrate 71 years of the Texaco Children’s Art Competition at the Regional Cultural Centre in Letterkenny.
Last year, as a pupil at Breaffy National School, Ballina, Charlotte won first prize in the 12-13 year age category for her work entitled ‘Inspiration’. Charlotte’s artwork was described at the time by Final Adjudicator, Gary Granville, Professor Emeritus of Education at the National College of Art and Design as “a finely executed representation of an artist at work.”
The exhibition, which features over 40 winning artworks from 16 counties, is open to the public from 11am – 5pm (Tuesday to Friday) and from 1pm – 5pm (Saturdays only) until Saturday, 7th June. Admission is free.
