The Paddington Bear statue in Westport has been temporarily removed.
A popular tourist attraction over the past number of months, the statue has been removed from its bench at the Fairgreen to have some paint touch-ups completed.
Mayo County Council said, in a statement on social media, that they hope for Paddington to return to the bench by the end of the week.
The statue was unveiled in October of last year, ahead of the release of the new Paddington Bear film.
