Mayo County Council has today refused an application by the owners of the Dolphin Hotel in Crossmolina, to retain and complete a change of use of the single storey function room to the rear of the hotel, from commercial to social and residential accommodation.
The local authority has issued the refusal to Pat Mulhern Civil Engineering Ireland who had applied for the change of use to this area of the hotel.
There has been concern expressed by members of the local community about the development while construction was underway.
An appeal can be mad to this decision to An Bord Pleanála.
Local Fianna Fáil councillor Michael Loftus has been giving more information on the development to Midwest Radio’s Rian Bailey:
Midwest News has made contact with Pat Mulhern Civil Engineering Ireland. We are awaiting a response.
