Uisce Éireann crews are responding to a burst water main which has impacted supply to customers in Ballina this morning, while a separate issue in Knockmore has been resolved.
Customers in Rathroeen, the Killala Road, Culleens, Breffni, Faranoo and surrounding areas of Ballina Town may be impacted by water outages as a result of this burst.
Crews are currently on site and are working to repair the burst and restore supply as quickly as possible. To ensure the safety of the crews carrying out the repairs and the safety of the public, traffic management will be in place and will be clearly signposted.
Separately, water supply is returning to Uisce Éireann customers in Knockmore who were impacted by an unplanned outage this morning. The outage was caused by a pump failure which has now been repaired.
Alternative Water Supplies are being made available for impacted customers without water this afternoon. These water tankers are being deployed at the following locations:
- Knockmore Church
- Lisaniska School
- Carrabeggan School
