University Hospital Galway extremely busy this morning

Galway University Hospital scaled

512 admitted patients are on trolleys in hospitals around the country this morning.

369 of those are in emergency departments, while 143 are in wards elsewhere, according to the INMO.

University Hospital Limerick accounts for the largest number of people waiting for beds, with 95, followed by Cork University Hospital and University Hospital Galway with 41 patients waiting for a bed.

Elsewhere, in this region there are 30 patients on trolleys at Sligo University Hospital, 21 at Mayo University Hospital and one patient on a trolley today at Portiuncula University Hospital in Ballinasloe.
