Uisce Éireann crews are working to restore normal water supply to premises in Ballina town centre following a burst.
Fewer than ten premises, including a school in the Market Square area, are experiencing a disruption to their supply today.
The burst occurred yesterday evening during road works in the area. Uisce Éireann crews have isolated the burst and expect to have it repaired later today.
Uisce Éireann’s Colette Scahill assured customers that repairs will be carried out as quickly as possible.
“We understand how disruptive unplanned outages are and we regret the inconvenience caused. We are working to restore normal supply across to customers affected.”
Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to restore to all customers affected by an unplanned outage.
Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications from us for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.
