Two brought to hospital following collision in Tuam

Two people have been brought to hospital following a collision in Tuam.

The incident, involving two vehicles, happened on the R939 in Tuam, better known as the Galway Road, at around 9:00am this morning.

Two people, a male and a female, were transferred to University Hospital Galway with non-life-threatening injuries.

The R939 was closed for a period of time and has now re-opened for use.

A separate collision took place on the M6 this morning westbound at Oranmore.

Gardaí are currently attending that collision, and delays are expected.

Motorists are advised to proceed with caution on these routes.
