The Department of Foreign Affairs has updated it’s travel advice for Irish transgender citizens planning to visit the US.
It notes that US authorities want visa application forms to ‘reflect the traveller’s biological sex at birth’.
It says travellers whose sex on their passport differs from their sex assigned at birth, should contact the US Embassy in Dublin, for further details.
Fine Gael has confirmed Councillor Marie-Thérèse Duffy has joined the party.
