Traffic diversions are in place on the N84 Ballinrobe road outside Castlebar this evening following a collision this afternoon close to the turn off to the Rugby club.
The two-vehicle collision occurred just after 3pm in the Ballyheane area.
Emergency services attended the scene.
One person has been removed from the scene to MUH.
Gardai are advising motorists of traffic delays in the area, as a result of the collision.
Diversions are in place on the New Road, Castlebar side and at Derrywash on the other side.
The road is expected to remain closed for a number of hours this evening
