Government tax receipts to the end of April increased by 4 point 2 per cent compared to the same period last year.
28 billion euro was collected, up more than a billion euro.
For the month of April alone, 5 point 3 billion euro tax was paid, up almost 8 per cent.
Tanaiste and Finance Minister Simon Harris describes the figures as encouraging, saying they reflect strong income tax, VAT and corporation tax growth for the year to date.
Meanwhile, spending by Government was almost 9 per cent ahead of the same time in 2025.
