The Taoiseach says he is hopeful a framework deal on tariffs between the EU and US can be agreed soon.
It’s understood the EU and US are on the brink of a deal that would end the dispute over tariffs escalating into a full blown trade war, however Donald Trump has warned blanket tariffs could be imposed within days.
After meeting the Lithuanian President last night Taoiseach Michael Martin said even if there is a deal, it will still involve considerable negotiation.
