Support drops for Fianna Fail & Fine Gael

Support for Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael continues to fall.

The latest poll leaves Fine Gael and Sinn Féin tied at the top.

The latest Ireland Thinks poll for the Sunday Independent asked voters if another general election was held immediately, who would they give their first preference to.

20 per cent said Fine Gael, down one point – while Sinn Féin also sit, unchanged, at 20 per cent.

Fianna Fáil has dropped two points to 19 per cent.

Independents and others are up one, to 11 per cent – while the Social Democrats have fallen one point, to 8 per cent.

The approval and disapproval of the job of the following political leaders – drops for Micheál Martin, down 3 to 43 per cent; Simon Harris also dropping 2 per cent to 39 per cent; and Mary Lou McDonald, Sinn Féin leader, unchanged at 35 per cent.
