A sod turning event to mark the launch of the construction phase of the River Deel (Crossmolina) Flood Relief Scheme will be held today
Minister for the Office of Public Works (OPW), Kevin ‘Boxer’ Moran will visit Crossmolina for the sod cutting at 11.30am this morning
The event will take place adjacent to the newly established site offices.
This long awaited €14.6m project will construct a new flood overflow channel, bridge, and road realignment to protect 73 homes and 43 businesses from severe flooding.
