Gardaí are investigating a suspected petrol bomb attack in Sligo during the early hours of yesterday morning.
An incident was reported whereby an individual is said to have approached a residential property in Cranmore, and put a petrol bomb through a downstairs window.
It is yet to be confirmed as to whether anyone was in the house at the time of the incident. However, substantial damage was caused to the property.
The individual is reported to have fled the scene in a vehicle after the act, which took place at around 2:00am.
No arrests have been made as of yet.
Gardaí are continuing their investigation into the incident, and anyone who may have information is asked to contact Sligo Garda Station on 071 915 7000.
