The family of a missing Mayo woman have again appealed for information 25 years after her disappearance.
Sandra Collins from Crossmolina was 28 years old when she vanished without a trace on December 4, 2000, from Killala having been last seen at around 11.15pm at the Country Kitchen premises on George’s Street.
She had lived in the village with her aunt Ann O’Grady, whom she looked after.
At around 7.45pm she went to a local shop where she bought groceries for her aunt and her neighbour. She returned with the groceries to her neighbour but went back out again and was last seen at the local takeaway at around 11.15pm.
Today is National Missing Persons Day and Sandra’s brother Patrick says it’s hard to believe it’s a quarter of century ago that she disappeared.
