The public must clean up after themselves when they visit lakes and other natural amenities during the fine weather.
That’s the strong view of Ballinrobe based Independent councillor Patsy O’Brien.
The councillor says it was very disappointing the way Brownstown lake, in south Mayo, was left yesterday (Thurs) evening as litter was strewn along the lakeshore.
He is appealing to the public to take their rubbish home and discard of it properly.
