A Roscommon based Senator has raised the issue of constant water outages in the Granlahan and Cloonfad areas in the Seanad this week.
Fine Gael Senator Gareth Scahill says this issue has been ongoing for years, particularly in the Lowberry Cross area.
He says that while some progress has been made with repairing bursts, more work needs to be done to ensure a reliable water supply is available to those in the area.
He cited one hospitality business in particular in Cloonfad who had to close their doors on one of the busiest days of the year due to a water outage.
