A driver was recently arrested in County Roscommon, after Gardaí discovered cannabis in his possession.
The Roscommon Roads Policing Unit stopped the vehicle for road traffic offences, and conducted a search.
Gardaí said there was a strong smell of cannabis emitting from the car and it was found that the driver had a quantity of cannabis in his possession.
He failed a roadside oral fluid test and tested positive for cannabis.
The driver was subsequently arrested.
Court proceedings are to follow.
