A section of road between Cross village and Carheen in the Cong area remains closed to traffic this evening following a two car collision this afternoon
The road closed following a two vehicle road collision that occurred about a half km from Cross Village at about 3pm.
Emergency services remain at the scene and a person has been taken from the scene by ambulance to hospital. The extent of his/her injuries are not known.
Long traffic delays remain along the route in both directions.
Gardai told Midwest News this evening the road will remain closed for some hours yet.
