Following the collision of a lorry this morning close to Cloonfad – a section of the Cloonfad to Williamstown Road -remains closed to traffic this evening
Gardaí responded to reports of a single vehicle collision in the Cornabanny area of Cloonfad, on the road towards Williamstown, at approximately 5:30am.
The lorry driver, a man in his 40s, was brought to Mayo University Hospital as a precaution, following the collision.
A section of the road remains closed to traffic this evening and diversions are in place.
