An extension of the eligibility for mammograms could be on the way for women aged between 45 and 49, and between 70 and 75.
A formal review is underway to examine the eligibility criteria for BreastCheck.
Currently, only women aged between 50 and 69 are eligible for the free breast check under the state’s screening programme.
