Parents shouldn’t have to pay extra money to sit beside their children on planes according to an MEP.
Regina Doherty says all children should have the right to be with their family without extra costs.
The Fine Gael MEP has described it as a child safeguarding issue and is demanding EU action on the practice.
She says if Kevin from Home Alone had been sitting next to his parents, he would have made it to Paris instead of being left at home.
A special event takes place at Ballinrobe Racecourse next Saturday afternoon.
