Record number of homeless in February

More than 15,300 people were registered as homeless in February – a new record.

Department of Housing figures show it includes over 4,600 children who are growing up in emergency accommodation.

The total is 11 percent higher than a year ago – which does show the rate of growth is slightly slowing.
