Rare shark found on Sligo coast

A rare shark that washed up on the coast of Sligo has been sent to the National Museum of Ireland for research and analysis.

Following a sighting by a member of the public on Saturday, the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group said they believed it was a Greenland Shark.

It is possibly the first sighting of the species on the Irish coast.
