Pumping system launches today at Lough Funshinagh

OPW Minister Kevin ‘Boxer’ Moran will be in County Roscommon today.

His visit coincides with the launch of the pumping system at Lough Funshinagh in the south of the county.

The temporary solution will be operation today for the very first time, in response to the local flooding crisis that has affected many homes and farms.

The OPW Minister will switch on the pumping system this afternoon.

This will be operational for two years until a permanent solution is put into place.
