Members of the public are being encouraged to attend a property marking event in Claremorris this weekend.
An Garda Síochána attached to the Mayo South Community Engagement Area are hosting the event at St. Colman’s College from 10:00am to 2:00pm on Saturday.
This event will facilitate the marking of farm machinery, trailers and equipment with ones Eircode using a special tool called a ‘property marking machine’.
This is a free service which makes your property less attractive to thieves, helps identify property if it is recovered having been previously stolen, and acts as a crime deterrent.
