Vatican sources say the Pope’s “in good spirits” and “eating normally” as he continues his stay in hospital.
It’s understood 88-year-old Pope Francis is awake, after his tenth night of treatment for double pneumonia, with blood tests this weekend also revealing early kidney failure.
A prayer mass will be held in St Peter’s Square this evening.
Prayers for Pope Francis are being said daily at Knock Shrine.
