A potential price rise for vapes is being welcomed.
Tánaiste and Finance Minister Simon Harris is considering increasing the tax on e-cigarettes in Budget 2027.
Since coming into effect last November, the levy of 50 cent per millilitre of e-liquid has already raked in over 22 million euro.
Director General of the Tobacco Free Research Institute, Professor Luke Clancy doesn’t think increasing the tax would drive people towards cigarettes:
