Up to 40 new houses are expected to be delivered in the Ballinrobe area over the next 12-18 months.
That’s according to Councillor Michael Burke.
A part 8 has gone in for 4 derelict sites in the town, with 5 housing units to be delivered on the Castlebar road, and 3 each on the Convent road, Main street and the Creagh road.
These are set to go to tender later this year.
Additionally, he says, a private operator is to seek planning permission for 22 housing units in the town next month.
