Planning submission is being sought to extend the size of the N5 Business Park in Castlebar.
Primbrook Investments Ltd have applied to Mayo County Council to develop the park with a further seven retail warehouse units and five commercial units.
The company is seeking permission for the development of a mixed use scheme, to adjoin and form part of an extension to the existing N5 Business Park at Moneenbradagh.
One block in the proposal would consist of seven retail warehouse units – 8,166 square meters of floor space to include an anchor unit with ancillary garden centre area.
The block would be a mix of two storey and double height single storey construction.
The second block in the development would comprise five commercial units – 8,918 square meters of two storey configuration.
This proposed development will include vehicle, pedestrian and cycle access via a new junction to the old N5 Dublin road, to connect with the existing N5 Business Park from the Moneen Road.
