In an ongoing dispute, a number of Post Office Pensioners from this region picketed the An Post delivery service Office in Castlebar on Thursday last while the Annual General meeting of the Communications Workers Union was taking place.
The pensioners claim that An Post and its Unions are in breach of statutory pension guarantees provided under Section 46 of the P&T Act 1983, and non compliance with the Ministerial authorisation on pension increases, as required under the of the An Post Pension scheme.
