A number of people have been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision in Claremorris.
The incident took place this afternoon at Claremount, on the junction of Boherduff and the Old Knock Road.
Two vehicles were involved in the collision, and a number of people have been brought to Mayo University Hospital for treatment of injuries.
No further information is available at this time.
The Department has invested over €2.5 million into the new sports ground project.
