Mayo County Council has issued a Condition Orange – High Risk Fire Warning.
The warning was made effective yesterday and will be in place until 12:00pm on Saturday April 14.
In a statement, Mayo County Council say:
“Arising from current weather patterns, a high fire risk is deemed to exist in all areas where hazardous fuels such as dead grasses and shrub fuels such as heather and gorse exist.
“If you see a fire, do not delay. Report it to the Fire Service straight away by calling 999 or 112.”
