The Housing Minister is to encourage older people to split their homes into flats.
James Browne has told the Sunday Times he’s examining a proposal similar to one seen in the UK.
He added he’d be in favour of that being facilitated.
The Minister also warns there will be penalties for people who leave properties vacant and wait for the value to rise before selling.
